You can choose to go to a local college. 

In College, You Could:

  • Meet new people and make friends.
  • Learn new skills and try new subjects.
  • Continue with English and Maths.
  • Gain qualifications.

Courses You Might Take:

  • Independent Living Skills: Learn about using money, work skills, and social skills.
  • Vocational Courses: Learn about specific jobs like painting and decorating, childcare, cooking, or animal care.
  • Courses are available in a wide range of levels, so whatever your skill level, you ought to find something that suits you

Time Commitment:

  • Full-time courses: Up to 5 days a week.
  • Part-time courses: Up to 2/3 days a week.

Support in College:

  • If you received support in school, you should get support in college too. Your Careers Adviser and school staff can help with this.
