Joses' Story

Meet Jose, a local Mansfield resident whose journey from struggle to success is nothing short of inspiring!  

After feeling overwhelmed by his job and the toll it was taking on his mental health, Jose made the difficult choice to take long-term sick leave. Unsure of what was next, he turned to Futures Mansfield for support. There, he met Derrick, one of our advisers, who helped him rebuild his confidence and gave him the encouragement he needed.

With Derrick’s guidance, Jose enrolled in Digital College courses, focusing on Functional Skills in Maths and English. He also worked on his CV, tailored cover letters, and started looking for new job opportunities. His hard work paid off when he landed an interview with a mental health service that understood his journey and offered a supportive work environment.

Today, Jose is thriving—'beaming with joy when he pops in to the Centre to say hello' and grateful for the life-changing support he received.
